ITINERARY:Early in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel or address in Sofia and within an hour drive we arrive at Aleko mountain resort at 1810 m.a.s.l. Aleko, situated at the foot of Maluk Rezen peak (Little Rezen, 2191 m.a.s.l.), is the oldest ski resort in Bulgaria. We leave the ski zone and crossing the symbolic Moreni (typical boulder rivers for Vitosha) soon we reach the Plateau and Torfeno Branishte Nature Reserve. Torfeno Branishte was declared as a reserve in 1935 to preserve the peat communities and unique ecosystems hosting hundreds of moss and algae species. We snowshoe across the reserve and reach Kamen Del (1862 m.a.s.l.), the peak offering probably the best panorama of the city of Sofia. From the peak we head towards Zlatnite Mostove (The Golden bridges), snowshoeing through the dense forests of Vitusha nature park. The car is waiting at the Golden Bridges to transfer us (approx. 30 min) to the hot geothermal springs of Pancharevo, with the temperature of the water 48 degrees C. There we can relax deeply in outdoor thermal pools fed by hot spring waters, situated at the shore of the picturesque Pancharevo lake. Later your guide will leave you at your place in the city.
