ITINERARY:
Your guide will pick you up in the morning from your hotel or address in Sofia and within an hour and a half journey by private car or minivan you'll be in the Rila Mountains National Park. You will take a chairlift to Rila Lakes hut, the starting point of the walk in the dramatic Seven Rila Lakes cirque. The snowshoe begins in the direction of the picturesque Kidney lake. Soon you reach a vast mountain plateau offering stunning views of jagged peaks and frozen mountain lakes. Enjoying the tranquility of the winter wonderland you will reach the Kidney lake, from where depending on your wish and physical shape you can snowshoe back to the hut along a different route or walk back the same way downhill to the Rila Lakes hut, from where you will descent back to the van via the chairlift. Short transfer (25 min.) to Sapareva Banya SPA resort, where you can enjoy the recreational effect of the hot mineral water pool as a reward for the physical effort and emotional charge during the day.
