Climbing such mountains is challenging, but climbing them in Morocco is fascinating. You will get acquainted with the Atlas mountains that carry the Arfican sky. You will meet the Berbers and visit Marrakesh, the main former imperial city of Morocco. This is a trip of beauty, mystery, adventure, history and sharing that will fill your senses with sights, smells, sounds and majesty out of 1001 nights tales.

ITINERARY:
DAY 1. Arrival - Marrakesh
Arrival and transfer from the airport to your hotel in Marrakesh. This city, guardian of the Moroccan tradition, will take you on a 1001 night trip, wandering between its ochre walls towards Jemaa El Fna, the market place and main attraction, gathering snake charmers, story tellers, magicians, healers and performers. “The spectacle of Djemaa el Fna is repeated daily and each day it is different. Everything changes – voices, sounds, gestures, the public which sees, listens, smells, tastes, touches. » (Juan Goytisolo)
DAY 2. Marrakesh - Imlil
After this charming dip into the Moroccan culture, you will enjoy a sightseeing day in Marrakesh. It is a former imperial city which offers a plethora of sites: palaces, madrasas, mosques, medina, ... In the afternoon, we will have a short transfer to Imlil (1740 m.) for overnight. This is our starting point for the hike.
DAY 3. Imlil – Toubkal Refuge
The ascent will start from Imlil to get into the Toubkal refuge for an overnight (3207 m.). We will get acquainted with the Berbers, the native inhabitants of these mountains.
DAY 4. Toubkal Refuge – Toubkal Summit
We will start walking a bit early in the morning. Today is the day for climbing the highest summit of North Africa: Toubkal (4167 m). Passing by the mountain pass “Tizi’n’Toubkal” (3940m), we reach the summit. After enjoying the marvelous view of the Atlas mountains, we will descend back to Toubkal refuge for another night.
DAY 5. Refuge – Ras N Ouanoukrim – Timzguida N Ouanoukrim
Today we will start again a bit early to Ras N Ouanoukrim (4083 m., in berber “head”), then Timzguida N Ouanoukrim summit (4089m, in berber “shoulder”). We will pass by the “Tizi n Ouagane” mountain pass (3735 m.). This trail offers stunning views of the Agoundis valley and the mount Sirwa. We will be back to the refuge for overnight.

DAY 6. Refuge – Clochetons Ouanoukrim
We will start walking earlier than the previous days to reach the rocky towers of the Clochetons Ouanoukrim summit (3963 m.). We will be back to the refuge around lunchtime. After lunch we will be heading down to Imlil for overnight. Option: Relaxation in a traditional Moroccan hammam.

Day 7. Departure
Transfer to the airport or hotel and departure with, we hope, plenty of dreams and satisfaction.
