ITINERARY:

DAY 1. Arrival at Bucharest airport and transfer to Brasov (about 2/3 hours driving). We spend 2 nights  to a 3* hotel located nearby the old city center. Welcome dinner.

DAY 2. Breakfast. Short transfer (10 km). Hike on the Piatra Mare Massif, through "7 Ladders" canyon. (Duration: 6-7 hours, medium effort, uphill/downhill walk: 800 m/800 m). Early dinner box or picnic dinner (depending of the weather) because, after the tour, we have our bear watching program (about 3  hours). From June to August the chance to observe bears is 70-90%. In May, September and October the chance to see bears is 60 - 70%. Transfer back to Brasov around 9:30 pm.

DAY 3. Breakfast. Transfer to Bran (30 km). Visit to the Bran Castle a.k.a Dracula's Castle. Hike in the Bucegi Mountains with splendid views to the Piatra Craiului Mountains, visit to an authentic sheep farm. Short transfer to Moeciu de Sus village. Accommodation for 2 nights here. Dinner.

DAY 4. Breakfast. Day tour in traditional Romanian mountain village. Sustainable, local, eco tour. The beauty of Romania lies in its countryside! Visit at a summer farm, cheese tasting, 2 – 3 hours trek on the hills, admiring flora and fauna (1322 m altitude), traditional lunch with eco products, tour of the village in horse driven carriage, visit at a traditional loom. Accommodation and dinner.

DAY 5. Breakfast. Short transfer. Trekking in Piatra Craiului National Park (King's Stone) – we trek through authentic mountain villages - very nice countryside. On our way we may see orchids, gentians, campanulas and endemic flowers like the Carpathian Iris, scattered around over beautiful alpine pastures and meadows covered with wildflowers. We spend 2 nights in these beautiful surroundings to one of the guesthouses in the Piatra Craiului National Park, in Zarnesti town. BBQ dinner

DAY 6. Breakfast. Day trip to Sighisoara (Zarnesti – Sighisoara: 147 km)
Sighisoara - the birth place of count Dracula. The town is UNESCO World Heritage listed and it is also known as the pearl of Transylvania. Located on the Tarnava Mare River, the town was built by Saxons between the 12-th and 17-th centuries. Eleven towers guard Sighisoara's walls, among them Tailors' Tower and Shoemakers' Tower.

DAY 7. Transfer to the airport for departure
